![]() But again, I do not know how much current all that would take to achieve all this? Now the even bigger question is – how would I be able to send a command to the esp32 to let it know if it needs to alarm when it detects the reed switch connection or if I simply want to open the window to get some fresh air without it tripping the alarm? That can be done with every 2 minutes it wakes and send data – I could just send json string back letting it know to not worry if the reed switch is tripped or not. The big question I have though is this – How much does waking every 2 minutes, turning on the Wi-Fi and RX/TX a json string take in mA? Each time I am wanting it to send via WIFI a json string to my home server API to let update my dashboard so it knows that esp32 status (open or closed window/door) and battery level (10-100%). ![]() So, I will only wake it up using the external source which would be the reed switch (ext0/vp) and use the Timer function to send and receive data every 2 minutes and then go back to sleep for another 2 minutes I’ve seen that its around 150 ♚ (0.15 mA) and replacing that value with the one provided above (0.02 mA) with the calculator gives me an even lower amount of days. ![]() I plan on utilizing the deep sleep function that the esp32 has. This puts it just shy of 1 year (323.7 days) on the LIPO only. Number of wakeups per hour = 120 (every 2 minutes) For my math I came up with the following:Ĭurrent consumption of device during sleep = 0.02 mAĬurrent consumption of device during wake = 5 mA I found the website that allows me to input the specs of my esp32 and see how long the battery would last depending on the size of the battery. I have 20 of these to use with a reed switch and a custom 3D printed enclose for it. The version I have has the JST connector to hook up a LIPO battery to. I am wanting to place window and door sensors (reed switch) and hook it up to my ESP32 wroom-32 (wemos) microprocessor. I’m looking to create a project for my home.

Some also suggest switching inputs makes it come back. I hadn't tried a 2nd signal refresh with power save on to see if it held off for a little bit again.Īside from pulling the cable out and in, powering it on and off also works. It also should be mentioned that when we signed up, it hadn't occurred for a few days as well. I did the system refresh, and somehow that made it work for a week or so without problems, then it went back to the TV not showing signal every day. I tried everything I could between the TV and STB, and nothing helped me. There seem to be MANY threads on the Comcast forums for a while(months), but the main thread right now is for the XG1v4. We signed up a couple months ago, and our XiD box had this issue. The first XG2 had replaced an XiD box, which had issues at the 1080p setting. Is there any possible explanation as to what might be happening? If I have to leave the box powered on 24/7, I will. So I'm thinking the issue is with the box itself. I find it difficult to believe that the cable is the problem, since I've been able to replicate this with all of them. ![]() I have used multiple HDMI cables: Monoprice, Blackweb (a Walmart brand, which is also certified by HDMI Licensing), a Comcast-supplied cable, generic cables and one that came with a computer monitor. It worked perfectly with a coax connection on SD service. Supports 1080p and 720p via "component", otherwise 1080i. The TV is an LG 23" model, roughly five years old. Today, while it was exhibiting that, I unplugged the HDMI cable from the back of the box and immediately plugged it back in. The new XG2 (brand new, not refurbished), is fine when it's powered on 24/7, but the TV also reports "no signal" when the box is powered on in the same scenario described above. The first XG2 (refurbished) was exchanged, because "no signal" reported by the TV when the box was powered on, coming out of Power Saver mode and that box would also become stuck on the Welcome screen after reboots. Originally posted on Comcast's customer forum, did not receive any replies as of this morning, so I'm hoping someone here might have an answer. Is this the correct setup? How would use the HDMI-ARC without the optical adapter.I am on my second XG2 box in less than three weeks. I have the ARC connected to the Xfinity X1 box with the HDMI/Optical adapter cable. I just purchased two SONOS SL speakers and the Arc. UPDATE: I later added a JTech Optical switch, so that I could route the sound of the TV apps to the Beam as well. Xfinity disabled the ability to turnoff the DVR from the remote, after having lots of on/off sync problems from customers. My only minor issue with this arrangement, is that I need to push the remote button to turn off the TV and the mute button to no longer hear the volume. ![]() ![]() I have had this configuration working since I got the Beam in December. I did this combination to eliminate a audio lag that was due to the HDMI-ARC from the TV, which I previously had used, before the Optical. I also have the Optical Output of the DVR going to the Optical/HDMI adapter which plugs into the Beam. I have the HDMI output of the DVR going to the HDMI input of the TV. |
